Update Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 to XXDLH8 Android 4.1.1 JellyBean

There is good news for all Galaxy S3 I9300 users. You can now update your device with XXDLH8 Android 4.1.1 Jellybean that is available for download online. In this article we will be throwing light on the step by step process that needs to be followed by you in order to be able to successfully update your Galaxy S3 I9300 to XXDLH8 Android 4.1.1 Jellybean.

 

There are few important things that you need to note with regards to the same. First and foremost you need to make sure that you have created backup for all the content that is available in your device. This is necessary because while updating your device the content that is present in it is likely to be wiped out. Similarly, another thing that needs to be taken care of is that you need to follow this process only for the sake of updating Galaxy S3 I9300. Step1: In the first step you will be required to download the XXDLH8 Android 4.1.1 JellyBean to your PC.

 

Step2: Once this is done you will be required to extract the Firmware zipped file that will give you a .tar file alongwith some other files.

 

Step3: In the next step make sure that you download Odin. Once this is done extract the Odin zipped file and you will get access to Odin3 v1.85.exe and Odin3.ini.

 

Step4: Once you are through with the above step you will be required to switch off your phone. Wait for a while so that the vibration can confirm that your device is switched off.

 

Step5: You will now have to put Galaxy S3 I9300 is download mode. For the same you will have to simultaneously press and hold the volume down, home as well as the power button. Wait till the Samsung logo appears on the screen. Your phone will then, be in download mode.

 

Step6: Follow this by running the Odin that you downloaded in Step 3.

 

Step7: In the next step you will be required to connect your device with your PC with the help of a USB cord. In order to make sure that you are on the right track you should check if the word “Added” has appeared in the message box in the left hand side corner. If you don’t get this message then, get your USB port changed. If you are still unsuccessful then reinstall the driver. In addition, you also need to get a COM port that comes complete with a yellow number.

 

Step8: In this step you need to find the files that you would like to install from the extracted folder.

a) Click on the PDA tab and select .tar file with the “Code” appearing in its name

b) Click on the PHONE tab and select file with the “Modem” appearing in its name

c) Click on the CSC tab and select file with the “CSC” appearing in its name

d) Click on the PIT tab and select .pit file. Eliminate this step if there is no such file in the extracted folder.

 

Step9: In the next step, you need to ensure that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options are ticked. In presence of a .pit file you need to tick on the option Re-partition.

 

Step10: On the successful completion of the above mentioned two steps make sure that you click on the Start button in order to begin with the flashing process.

 

Step11: On the completion of the flashing processing you will come across a Pass message in the Odin window alongwith a green box at the top of Odin. Now your phone will get rebooted on its own.

 

Step12: In the last step you are required to take off the USB cord that was responsible for linking your device with your computer. You will now have the XXDLH8 Android 4.1.1 Jellybean updated in your phone.
